RIDING WEEK 2009

LEARNING TO RIDE
This programme is designed for total beginners and for people who have ridden a little and want to improve their riding skills. By the end of the stay, visitors should be able to walk and trot whilst out on rides while controlling their horses in a risk free environment. Furthermore, visitors will have spent fantastic holidays in the beautiful surroundings of the Sierra Nevada footholds.

Arrival: Sunday Evening
Departure: Friday Afternoon
One week stay: 5 days / 5 nights
Level of riding: Beginner
Accommodation: Bed and Breakfast in the Cuevas del Tio Tobas *** hotel

Prices: €495 (per person/ double occupancy)
Individual Supplement: €100
Price includes collection from Granada airport

Length of daily programme: approximately 2 and a half hour

Schedule:

Sunday:
Arrival and transfer from Granada airport to the hotel

Monday:

  • Allocation of horses.
  • Basic classes on how to look after and prepare your horse for riding activities, including brushing and tacking up.
  • Riding lesson: Balance, turning and impulsion
  • Hack in the surrounding countryside

Tuesday:

  • Riding lesson: Rising trot
  • Hack in the surrounding countryside

Wednesday:

  • Riding lesson: Rising trot and controlling the horse
  • Hack in the surrounding countryside

Thursday:

  • Riding lesson
  • Hack in the surrounding countryside

Friday:

  • Hack in the surrounding countryside
